Brockton Housing Authority, a nationally recognized public housing authority in Brockton, MA, is seeking a Family Self‑Sufficiency Coordinator. Responsibilities include recruiting, managing, counseling and evaluating Self‑Sufficiency participants, and developing multiple programs to boost families' self‑reliance and reduce public assistance dependency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social services, education or related field plus one year of full-time paid experience in human services involving direct services to clientele.
• Associate's degree plus five years of experience in human services with direct clientele work.
• High school diploma plus ten years of experience in human services with direct clientele work.
• a combination of education and experience accepted.
• Familiarity and experience with grant administration, bid laws, and the procurement process desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain organized records and documentation.
• Ability to plan, organize and schedule multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Family Self Sufficiency Coordinator BROCKTON HOUSING AUTHORITY

Brockton Housing Authority, a nationally recognized and award winning public housing authority, located in Brockton, Massachusetts is presently accepting applications for the position of Family Self‑Sufficiency (FSS) Coordinator. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruiting, managing, counseling and evaluating participants in the Self‑Sufficiency program; planning, developing and overseeing multiple programs designed to increase the selfsufficiency of low income families and decrease their need of public assistance.

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social services, human services, education or related field and one year of full-time paid experience in human services involving direct services to clientele;
• Graduation from an accredited two year college or university with an associate’s Degree in similar fields and five years of full-time paid experience working in human services involving direct services to clientele;
• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and ten years of full-time paid experience working in human services involving direct services to clientele;

Annual Salary: Starting salary of $67,985 per annum with step increases for the first four years, together with an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance and pension plan.
