Job summary

The Center for Youth and Family Solutions (CYFS) is hiring a Family Resource Developer / Family Peer Support Specialist. You will provide family peer support, connect caregivers to resources, and collaborate with crisis response teams to strengthen behavioral health services for children and families across Central Illinois.

Ideal candidates have lived experience as a parent or caregiver, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Counseling or Psychology or closely related Human Service field.
• Experience as the parent or caregiver of a child or youth with behavioral health needs.
• Willingness to navigate behavioral health and related systems and encourage family engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide family peer support, mentoring, encouragement, and practical assistance to families.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to Mobile Crisis and related services.
• Educate families about available services and help access resources and appointments.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, schools, hospitals, and community partners to promote continuity of care.
