The role involves serving as a resource to families, strengthening home–school relationships, coordinating community services, and maintaining confidential records while providing ongoing support to families and students.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource to parents, childcare providers and agencies regarding programs and services in the community.
• Strengthens home and school relationships and encourages parent involvement in learning.
• Establishes links with service providers and community agencies.
• Coordinates and implements parent/community resources to enhance parent involvement and student achievement.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports.
• Communicates with teachers about students’ health or family needs.
