Job summary

Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin is seeking a Family Resource Specialist to assess the strengths and needs of pregnant women and families with infants and children, connecting them with community resources. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Role involves hospital/home visits, coordination with hospital staff, and referrals to services. Candidates should have relevant education and experience, a Wisconsin driver's license, and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience as specified.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in child development, communications, marketing or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience with families, child abuse prevention, maternal/child health or child development.
• 2+ years preferred for broader family services work.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach about programs at community events.
• Visit hospitals daily to identify parents and explain program benefits.
• Assess family strengths and determine program eligibility for referrals.
• Maintain relationships with hospital staff and service providers.
• Train volunteers and new team members as requested.
• Attend team and staff meetings and adhere to NASW Code of Ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
