A leading healthcare provider is seeking qualified professionals to perform non-treatment exams for veterans. You will work on a PRN basis, with flexible shifts and responsibilities that include conducting health assessments and completing necessary documentation. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions, and will be proficient in using specific testing equipment. Quick onboarding and training are provided.
Shift(s) Description: PRN - as needed basis. Shifts TBD. Half day is 4 hours or less. Full day is 4-8 hours. Weekends as needed.
Coverage Options: Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility OR schedule Veterans within your own practice.
Work Schedule: Option to work days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours).
Exam Types: One-Time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments. Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessments such as range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
Restrictions: No prescribing, no treatment.
Credentialing: Quick onboarding. DMA certification available (can earn CME credits). Certification must be obtained once privileged if not already certified. Note: Client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or portal training before starting.
Equipment & Knowledge: Use of Goniometer required. Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio conditions. Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
Requirements: Own personal laptop (NO MACs). Training provided for Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs). DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion, using standardized forms. No narrative reports. Evaluations are to be completed in VES's provider portal. Record review is often required. Follow-up administrative work such as addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostics reading will be necessary.
