Job description

Essen is currently seeking Full-time & Part-time Board-Certified Nurse Practitioners in all Specialties. Family Nurse Practitioners, Adult Nurse Practitioners, Women's Health Nurse Practitioners, & Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Hemo/Onc within our Office, Urgent Care, House Calls & Nursing Home Divisions. We have openings in various locations: Bronx, Queens, Long Island.

The Nurse Practitioner will be part of Essen's growing team of medical professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced primary and/or specialty care to our patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing physical exams, recording patient medical history, creating care plans, and administering diagnostic tests.

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing daily Nurse Practitioner duties, including:

• Examining, diagnosing, and treating patients
• Ensuring fulfillment of Essen Health Care's commitment to quality care
• Diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases in general practice
• Collecting, recording, and maintaining accurate patient information
• Documenting medical history, family history, social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessments, and plans
• Ordering or executing tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to assess patient condition
• Analyzing reports and findings to diagnose conditions
• Administering or prescribing treatments
• Ordering lab and imaging tests to determine and manage treatment plans
• Vaccinating patients against communicable diseases
• Advising patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention methods
• Consulting with specialists and referring patients within the network as needed

The qualifications for the successful candidate include:

• Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program: Family, Adult, Women's Health, Hemo/Onc, or Psych
• Current New York State License as a Nurse Practitioner
• National Board Certification (required)
• Certifications from AANP, ANCC, or ONC
• Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems is a plus
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
