Primary Care Market Medical Director making over $370,000 in Milwaukee, WI

Market Medical Director Job Summary

The Market Medical Director is a vital part of our Health leadership team. The physician in this role will lead PCPs across clinics in their neighborhood, which may include clinical practice alongside colleagues to stay close to patients. They will also hold mission-critical leadership responsibilities, such as setting an example for high-quality primary care, serving as a leader, mentor, and coach to providers, and contributing to organization-wide strategic initiatives.

Role:

• Compensation: Base $280,000-$300,000
• Bonus: 25% of base salary
• Coverage: All clinics in the market, typically 3-5 clinics depending on the market
• Start Date: 2 months prior to market launch
• Leadership: President of the medical group
• Growth Opportunities: Potential for advancement as the company expands
• Market Expansion: Involved in opening new clinics and markets
• Clinical Practice: Will see patients and oversee clinics until they are established, then focus more on administrative oversight
• Operations: Oversee clinical operations and collaborate with VPs of operations

Requirements:

• MD or DO
• IM/FM Board Certified; Geriatrics a plus
• Ability to mentor and coach
• 3-5 years of VBC or managed care experience preferred
• Willingness to travel within the market
• Strong interpersonal skills

• Collaborate with corporate and other market leaders to share best practices and identify improvement opportunities
• Contribute to organizational goals such as network development, documentation and coding, quality measures, utilization management, transitional care, compliance, and community outreach
