Job Overview

Shriners Children's is seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Practice Sports Medicine Physician or Non-Operative Pediatric Orthopedics Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at our Doylestown clinic. As a vital part of our team, you will work with pediatric patients in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing comprehensive care to children with sports-related injuries and conditions, fracture care, and general pediatric orthopedic conditions.

This position entails a full-time, 1.0 FTE commitment with no nights or weekends and minimal call responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions, and fractures in pediatric patients.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on rehabilitation, prevention, and return-to-play strategies. In addition, conservative care management for pediatric orthopedic conditions.
  • Collaborate with a team of specialists, including orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on injury prevention and long-term wellness.
  • Ensure a positive and family-centered care experience.
  • Participate in community outreach and wellness programs.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Must possess or be eligible for PA medical license
  • Must hold a current board certification in Family Medicine or in the final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification OR current board certification in Pediatrics having completed or currently completing a fellowship in non-operative pediatric orthopedics
  • Must possess or be eligible for DEA license
  • Successful completion of a fellowship in sports medicine
  • Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
