Job summary

OnPoint Medical Group in Lone Tree, CO is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join Lone Tree Family Practice. You will welcome patients, obtain medical histories, document vitals, and prepare exam rooms.

Responsibilities include assisting providers, recording allergies, medications, vaccines in EMR, and maintaining supplies; follow HIPAA; perform point-of-care tests as allowed. The role offers benefits and opportunities for CMA credentialing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of accredited healthcare program (MA/CNA/LPN/EMT) or equivalent work experience.
• National CMA certification strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• Some MA experience required.
• Current BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and prepares them for visits; obtains medical history.
• Documents full and accurate set of vital signs.
• Updates EMR with allergies, medications, vaccines, social history, and quality tab.
• Assists providers during examination and treatment; performs point-of-care tests as allowed.
• Maintains supplies in storage areas and exam rooms; ensures a clean, safe environment.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain professional interactions with patients and staff.
• Back-up front office duties when needed: check-in, check-out, scheduling, phone coverage.
