Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System is seeking a Day Shift, full-time Medical Assistant in Broken Arrow, OK to join a dynamic clinic team. You will support both clinical and administrative tasks, including patient check-ins, vitals, and EMR data entry, under supervision from physicians and advanced practitioners.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic EMR and MS Office knowledge, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. CMA/RMA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, escort to exam room, and record vital signs as part of the care team.
• Assist with clinical tasks and maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms.
• Enter and manage patient information and claims in the EMR system.
• Coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations as needed for tests, imaging, or labs.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, organize supplies, and ensure privacy and safety of patients.
