Job summary

PeaceHealth seeks a Medical Assistant - Family Practice for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position in Oregon. The role involves supporting physicians with patient care, rooming patients, taking histories and vital signs, and maintaining the EMR.

The salary range is $25.62-34.58 per hour, with hiring based on education, training, experience and applicable agreements. The position requires MOA/ACM accreditation pathway or accredited program, BLS on hire, and strong teamwork to ensure efficient clinic

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant program or MOA pathway eligible.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment or anesthesia interview.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Administer injections, apply splints and dressings under provider orders.
• Sterilize and prepare supplies for treatments and procedures.
• Assist in scheduling tests and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain patient files and data entry into EMR.
• Provide phone screening to clinical staff or physician.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
