Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for Family Practice in Oregon. This full-time (1.00 FTE), day position offers a competitive hourly rate and is represented by a collective bargaining agreement.

The Medical Assistant will support physicians and providers, prepare patients, manage rooms and equipment, and assist with injections, wound care, and records. BLS and national certification are required for hire, with related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant program or MOA route to qualification.
• National Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained upon hire.
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and record vital signs.
• Set up exam rooms and maintain medical supplies.
• Administer injections, dressings, and simple wound care under orders.
• Schedule tests and follow-up visits.
• Maintain patient files and enter data into EMR.
• Provide phone screening to route to clinical staff.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
