Monroe Medical Group, affiliated with Monroe Hospital, seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to support physicians in urgent/primary care settings. Responsibilities include patient care assistance, clerical tasks, appointment scheduling and chart management, and delivering patient information to maximize clinic services.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of direct patient care experience, a medical assistant training program, English fluency, and BLS certification prior to start.

Qualifications

• Six months of direct patient care experience (Urgent Care/Primary Care) or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Healthcare Provider BLS (AHA) certification required before start.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient charts.
• Provide information to patients to help them utilize and benefit from clinic services.
• Convey a positive image of the organization.
