Job summary

Monroe Medical Group, affiliated with Monroe Hospital, is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in Bloomington, IN. You will support physicians with patient care, handle clerical duties, and help manage schedules and charts, while providing patients with information to maximize clinic services.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience in urgent care, primary care, or direct patient care settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare Provider BLS (AHA) certification is mandatory before start of work.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient charts.
• Provide information to patients to help them utilize clinic services and project a positive image of the organization.
