Job Opportunity: Medical Director - Geriatric Medicine

Join a dynamic care team at a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) located in vibrant Mishawaka, Indiana. This full-time position is ideal for a Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician who possesses Fellowship training or a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine. Take on a leadership role with responsibilities that emphasize compassionate care for the elderly population.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct the medical aspects of participant care.
• Responsible for clinical outcomes and oversight of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
• Develop and maintain medical policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Lead and mentor Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Collaborate with community colleagues to enhance care delivery.
• Conduct history and physical exams on new participants and provide necessary medical services.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and family conferences.
• Educate participants and their families on health maintenance and chronic conditions.
• Perform physical examinations and manage treatment plans effectively.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Manage changing priorities according to participant needs.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (REQUIRED).
• Fellowship-trained in Geriatrics or Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
• Clean Malpractice history (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the elderly population (REQUIRED).
• Previous supervisory experience (REQUIRED).

License and Certification Requirements:

• IN medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED.
• CDS Certification by start date - REQUIRED.
• DEA Verbal Confirmation by start date - REQUIRED.
• BLS certification by start date - REQUIRED.
