A leading healthcare organization in Kansas City is seeking a Medical Director to oversee member care and clinical outcomes. This role involves developing a geriatric care service line and ensuring quality improvement within the organization. The ideal candidate will be a licensed physician with experience in geriatric care and strong leadership skills.
The PACE KC Medical Director is responsible for the delivery of member care, clinical outcomes, and the implementation, as well as oversight of the quality improvement program for PACE KC. The Medical Director serves as the lead in designing the medical components for PACE KC and as a liaison to the medical community on its behalf. As a physician member of the team, the Medical Director must meet all federal and state licensing laws, certifications, and regulations. The role includes acting as a consultant and resource to Primary Care Physicians, on-call physicians, and Nurse Practitioners. The Medical Director will perform both administrative and direct patient care duties.
Under the direction of the PACE KC Executive Director and the Chief Health Officer, the Medical Director will facilitate the development of an operational bridge between PACE KC and health centers, and help establish a geriatric care service line at the health center.
