Job summary

Engelhard Medical Center, part of Ocracoke Health Center, Inc., in Hyde County, NC, seeks a Part-Time or Full-Time Physician (MD or DO) to join our rural care team. We provide primary and preventive care for patients of all ages in a supportive, community-focused setting.

We offer flexible scheduling (2–3 days/week, 8am–5pm), a patient panel of 300–400 for meaningful continuity, and collaboration with experienced clinicians.

Qualifications

• Licensed MD or DO in North Carolina (or eligible).
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine (or similar).
• Values teamwork and collaborative patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and preventive care to patients of all ages.

Compensation: $79 - 94 per hour, depending on experience

Engelhard Medical Center, part of Ocracoke Health Center, Inc., is seeking a Part-Time or Full-Time Physician (MD or DO) to join our dedicated care team in rural Hyde County. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), which means we provide comprehensive primary care services to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and focus on serving underserved and rural communities. FQHC status also allows us to offer additional support and resources to our patients and staff.

About the Role

• Provide primary and preventive care to patients of all ages
• Part-time schedule - typically 2-3 days per week with flexibility based on provider preference. Our clinic is open from Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
• Patient panel of approximately 300-400 to support meaningful continuity of care
• Collaborate with experienced physicians and clinical staff in a supportive, team-oriented environment
