Job summary

Vibrant Emotional Health in the Bronx is seeking a Family Peer Advocate to support families with lived child-serving system experience. You will collaborate with families, share insights, and link them to community resources, while working as part of the Vibrant Alliance to provide comprehensive supports.

The role requires completing the FPA credentialing within 18 months, plus strong written/verbal communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Parent/caregiver with lived experience navigating child-serving systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual and bicultural candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with families to assess needs and link to resources.
• Share personal knowledge about the youth-serving system.
• Partner with Vibrant Alliance staff to provide supportive services.
• Conduct outreach to schools, EI programs, clinics, and other providers with emphasis on hard-to-reach communities.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate parenting education and support groups.
• Conduct home and community visits to meet families where they are.
• Organize and support social and recreational activities for families.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation of work with individuals and families.
