Job summary

Vibrant Emotional Health seeks a Family Peer Advocate in the Bronx. The role supports families through the child-serving system, leveraging lived experience to guide and connect services. The position is hybrid, with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional evenings or Saturdays as needed.

The advocate will collaborate with families, provide education, and join teams to deliver outreach and family-centered support, while documenting work and ensuring quality of care.

Qualifications

• The candidate is a parent/caregiver with lived experience navigating child-serving systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Able to work flexible hours as needed.
• Bilingual and bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with families to assess their needs and connect them to resources in the community.
• Share personal experience navigating the youth-serving system.
• Partner with Vibrant Alliance staff to provide supportive services.
• Conduct outreach and presentations to schools and community programs, especially hard-to-reach communities.
• Facilitate parenting education and support groups and conduct home/community visits.
• Organize and support social and recreational activities for families.
• Document work comprehensively with individuals and families.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
