Job summary

Midwest Express Clinic in Illinois is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to lead clinical care across our Southeast Suburbs clinics. You will deliver evidence-based primary and urgent care, collaborate with Medical Assistants, Radiologic Technologists, and physicians, and uphold MEC's standards for service, safety, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has an NP degree, an Illinois/Indiana license, and the ability to treat patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Family Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois and/or Indiana.
• Ability to treat patients across the lifespan.
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing including laboratory and radiology results.
• Perform procedures including: laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, nail procedures, injections, DOT physicals, occupational medicine services.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record.
