Job Summary

As a Nurse Practitioner at Baptist Urgent Care, you will deliver exceptional medical care to patients of all ages with various acute and chronic conditions. You will work collaboratively with a healthcare team to diagnose, treat, and educate patients, maintaining high standards of care. Full-time providers work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and alternating weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Deliver friendly, accessible care to all patients.
• Lead and assist during emergencies, ensuring patient reassurance.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with variable hours and locations.
• Perform medical assessments, treatments, management, and follow-up for primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals, and workers' compensation cases.
• Perform procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removal, pap tests, injections, splinting, and abscess drainage.
• Establish and monitor appropriate care levels for patients.
• Oversee laboratory, x-ray, injection, and collection services onsite, if applicable.
• Maintain clinical competencies and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Participate in policy development, education programs, and clinic growth initiatives.
• Represent the company at internal and external events.
• Guide other medical staff to ensure quality services and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Experience preferred but new graduates are welcome.
• State license as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
• Certification as an APRN through AANP or ANCC.
• DEA license or willingness to obtain one.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain one.
• BLS certification.
