Bridges Healthcare, Inc. in New Haven is seeking a Family Navigator IPV-FAIR to support caregivers involved with intimate partner violence.
The Family Navigator provides home-based services, case management, safety planning, and psychoeducation to strengthen families in the greater New Haven area. You will work with clinicians, manage records with strict confidentiality, and participate in regular supervision.
Bridges Healthcare, Inc., has an immediate opening for a Family Navigator IPV-FAIR (Intimate Partner Violence - Family Assessment Intervention Response) in our Family Centered Services Division in New Haven.
Salary: $27.80 - $28.68 per hour, commensurate of experience
The IPV-FAIR Family Navigator works in partnership with the assigned Clinician to support caregivers who have been involved with intimate partner violence. The Family Navigator provides primarily home-based services to families in the greater New Haven area and offers an array of supportive services which include case management, safety planning, psychoeducation, and other services as needed. IPV-FAIR services support caregivers in creating safer homes for their children and strengthening parent-child relationships.
Bachelor's degree (BA) in a human services field, OR high school diploma with at least three (3) years extensive experience providing direct services to families with complex needs.
Understanding of issues related to trauma, child abuse prevention and treatment, family violence, and systems advocacy preferred.
Experience with case management and ability to work with diverse individuals.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Must have own insured vehicle in working order.
Valid drivers license, with access to reliable transportation on a consistent basis.
