Job summary

Fairview Hospital / Cleveland Clinic is seeking a vision-driven leader to serve as Director of its ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program in Myrtle Beach, SC. This role oversees curriculum design, faculty development, and resident performance, ensuring adherence to ACGME standards and internal policies.

The director will recruit residents, mentor teaching faculty, oversee clinical supervision, and advance scholarly activities to foster resident growth and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Board-certified physician with focus on family medicine.
• Strong leadership and teaching abilities.
• Working knowledge of GME compliance and evaluation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for curriculum development, program operations, and performance evaluation.
• Develop faculty and support teaching/mentorship efforts for residents.
• Recruit and select residents while strengthening the program’s academic pipeline.
• Oversee resident supervision in clinic and hospital settings.
• Deliver direct patient care and model compassionate, patient-centered medicine.
• Promote scholarly activity and support resident academic growth.
• Advance quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
