Job summary

Houston Methodist Primary Care Group seeks a board-certified Family Medicine physician to supervise residents in our Sugar Land campus residency clinic and to serve as Core Faculty for the Family Medicine residency program. This is an outpatient academic faculty role with a strong focus on teaching and scholarly activity.

The ideal candidate will have leadership in graduate medical education, residency administration, curriculum development, and a passion for mentoring residents in ambulatory

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Family Medicine.
• Eligibility for Texas medical licensure.
• Experience in graduate medical education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as attending/faculty physician supervising residents in the residency continuity clinic.
• Provide direct patient care in the Family Medicine Clinic.
• Develop, direct, and manage the Family Medicine residency program.
• Administer and maintain an educational environment for ACGME competencies.
• Participate in rounds, journal clubs, and conferences.
• Mentor residents and support scholarly activity and quality improvement.
• Protected administrative time for educational leadership and program development.
• Collaborate with Houston Methodist Academic Institute and affiliated medical schools on titles.
