ChesPenn Health Services is hiring a Family Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive primary care for adults and children at our Chester, PA location. You will work in a collaborative, community-focused team dedicated to serving underserved populations.

The role emphasizes routine preventive care, chronic disease management, and care coordination with nurses, medical assistants, and other professionals. A PA license, board eligibility/certification, and DEA are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an approved residency in Family Medicine.
  • Unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license.
  • Board eligibility required; board certification preferred.
  • DEA certification and vaccinations (COVID-19/flu).
  • Experience in ambulatory primary care or community health preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine and preventive care with physical exams and screenings.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions in outpatient settings.
  • Educate patients on ongoing care and health maintenance.
  • Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and staff; supervise APPs.
  • Participate in emergency call rotation; maintain confidentiality.

Position Summary

ChesPenn is seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Family Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive primary care to adults and children at our Chester, PA location. This role is ideal for a physician who thrives in a collaborative, community-focused environment and is passionate about serving medically underserved populations.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an approved residency program in Family Medicine
  • Unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license

  • Experience in ambulatory primary care or community health preferred

Scope of Responsibilities
Clinical:
  • Provide routine and preventive care, including physical exams and screenings
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions in an outpatient setting
  • Conduct follow-up visits for patients referred to specialists
  • Educate patients on health maintenance and ongoing care
  • Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff
  • Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants
  • Participate in emergency call coverage rotation, including weekends and holidays
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Productivity:
  • Maintain productivity levels in accordance with BPHC grant standards
  • Meet targets for patient encounters and visits per patient annually
Record-Keeping & Administration:
  • Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Build relationships with community agencies and hospitals
  • Lead or support medical and public health initiatives as needed
  • Contribute to the development of the annual healthcare plan
  • Engage in continuing medical education and professional development
