Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. in Aurora, IL seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner for outpatient family medicine.

You will work in a well-established health center, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver high-quality care to a diverse patient population. The role focuses on preventive, acute, and chronic care across the lifespan, with exams including gynecological and breast assessments, plus lab testing and family planning services.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN and APRN licenses with prescriptive authority.
• Active DEA registration.
• Master's degree from an APRN program, Family NP focus.
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
• Current CPR certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive, acute, and chronic disease care for patients across the lifespan.
• Assess medical and psychosocial histories, perform physical exams (including gynecological and breast exams), and develop treatment plans.
• Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests as part of patient care.
• Provide family planning services, including contraception management, pregnancy testing and options counseling, emergency contraception, and confidential adolescent services.
• Provide patient education and counseling to support informed treatment decisions.
• Consult with or refer patients to the collaborating physician or other resources as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, including chart audits and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.

• Full-time, permanent outpatient family nurse practitioner position
• Work under a collaborative agreement with a health center physician
• Provide preventive, acute, and chronic disease care for patients across the lifespan
