Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. seeks an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for outpatient care in Aurora, IL. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and educate patients across the lifespan.

Work under a collaborative agreement with a mental health physician, perform examinations, manage medications, and document promptly in the Epic EMR. Illinois PMHNP-BC board certification and DEA registration required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in APN with PMHNP training and PMHNP-BC certification.
• Active RN license in Illinois and prescriptive authority.
• DEA registration and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, education, and management for patients of all ages.
• Assess medical and psychosocial histories, exams, and develop treatment plans.
• Order and interpret labs as part of patient care.
• Educate and counsel patients for informed treatment choices.
• Refer to collaborating physician or other resources as needed.

Job Details:

• Full-time, permanent outpatient psychiatric nurse practitioner position
• Work under a collaborative agreement with a mental health physician
• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, education, and management for patients across the lifespan
• Assess medical and psychosocial histories, perform examinations, identify problems, and develop treatment plans
• Order and interpret laboratory tests as part of ongoing patient management
• Provide patient education and counseling to support informed treatment decisions
• Consult with or refer patients to the collaborating physician or other resources as needed
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner

Requirements:

• Active Illinois RN and APRN licenses with prescriptive authority
• Active DEA registration
• Master's degree from an advanced practice nursing program, with psychiatric NP training
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Current CPR certification
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive
