Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette Family Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join a teaching clinic and support patient-centered care in a busy Family Medicine setting. The MA will provide direct patient care, perform basic procedures, and assist with administrative duties in a supportive team environment.

The role requires CMA or RMA certification with BLS-HCP, and a high school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of clinic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA certification and BLS-HCP required.
• 1 year of related clinic experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant license (MA or RMA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and individualized care to clinic patients.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies and examination areas.
• Performs administrative duties including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
