Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
• Family medicine experience preferred; eligible new graduates will be considered.
• Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for family medicine patients in the ambulatory setting.
• Consults and/or pre-procedure/evaluations, acute visits and wellness visits.
• Completes integrated assessments and develops an individualized plan of care.
• Collaborates with family medicine faculty and adheres to clinical guidelines.
• Documents plan of care and communicates results in the medical record.
• Coordinates follow-up testing and referrals with clinic and hospital staff.
