Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal/Legal Assistant to manage an active caseload and support clients throughout the family law process. A hybrid work arrangement may be available after demonstrated readiness, with a long-term career opportunity at an established firm.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of Florida family law experience, familiarity with rules and disclosures, and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Florida family law experience
• Strong knowledge of Florida family law procedures and Rule 12.285 mandatory disclosure
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, financial affidavits, discovery, parenting plans, and settlement agreements
• Ability to independently manage a busy caseload and meet court deadlines
• Strong communication, organization, and client service skills
• Ability to meet approximately 35 billable hours per week
• Preferred: FRP, paralegal certificate or degree, and experience with PracticePanther, NetDocuments, or Lawmatics

Responsibilities

• Manage active family law matters from onboarding through resolution
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery, financial affidavits, and other legal documents
• Track court dates, hearings, discovery deadlines, and case milestones
• Coordinate hearings, mediations, client meetings, and appointments
• Assist attorneys with hearing, mediation, and trial preparation
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, attorneys, and opposing counsel
• Maintain organized case files, document client communications, and record billable time
