Job summary

Bright Line Counsel in Mason, Ohio seeks a paralegal to support a boutique family law practice. This in-person role involves managing attorney calendars, deadlines, and client obligations with attention to detail.

You will own case files end-to-end, draft pleadings and discovery, gather documents from clients, and prepare trial materials while maintaining accurate billing and records. Experience in family law or related fields is a plus.

Bright Line Counsel is assisting a boutique family law firm in Southwest Ohio with a search for a Paralegal to join their Mason office.

This is a fast-paced role for someone who wants to do work that actually matters — you'll be the person keeping cases, deadlines, and clients on track through some of the most significant moments in people's lives. If you like ownership, variety, and being genuinely good at what you do, this is worth a look.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing attorney calendars, court deadlines, and client obligations before they turn into fire drills
• Owning case files end to end — spotting what's missing before anyone has to ask
• Communicating directly with clients to gather documents, financial info, and discovery materials
• Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence under attorney supervision
• Preparing exhibits, hearing binders, and trial materials
• Keeping billing and case records accurate and current

What we're looking for:

• Law office experience — family law/domestic relations is ideal, but we're also very open to paralegals with a litigation, personal injury, or probate background, since that work involves a lot of the same client-facing detail work
• Experience in Hamilton, Butler, Warren, or Clermont County courts is a plus; Kentucky experience is a plus too
• Comfort with Clio is a bonus, not a requirement
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and e-filing systems
• Sharp organizational skills and follow-through — this role supports multiple attorneys with a lot moving at once, and staying two steps ahead of deadlines is the job

The details:

This is an in-person role in the Mason office, Monday through Friday, roughly 8:30–5. The firm is flexible when life happens — need to shift your hours for an appointment? Not a problem, as long as the work gets done.

$55,000–$65,000, based on experience
