We strive to provide high-quality legal representation to ensure our clients feel prepared to navigate the family law court system.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Family Law Paralegal at Miller Cushing Holladay in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in family law matters, exceptional attention to detail, and a client-focused approach. Our Paralegals play a critical role in supporting attorneys throughout all phases of family law cases, from intake to final resolution, and are responsible for managing case files, drafting critical documents, communicating with clients and courts, and ensuring cases move forward efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare case chronologies, exhibits, and trial binders
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• Preparing and filing legal documents such as pleadings, declarations, discovery requests/responses
• Manage case calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedules
• Assist with document production and organization during discovery
• Track billing and timekeeping in accordance with firm policies
• Provide administrative support including file management and correspondence

Qualifications

• Minimum [2-5] years of family law paralegal experience required
• Paralegal certification or associate degree in paralegal studies is preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Law and Legal Document Preparation skills
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
