Job summary

Wendy H. Schwartz and Associates, PLLC—a boutique family law firm in Washington, D.C.—is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1–2 years of litigation experience, preferably in family law.

Duties will include all phases of litigation, research, trial and evidentiary hearings preparation, depositions, discovery, and drafting motions. The candidate should have strong drafting skills, be analytical, well organized, and capable of working independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of litigation experience.
• Preferably in family law.
• JD from an accredited law school; DC Bar membership or VA Bar eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and prepare for trial and evidentiary hearings.
• Conduct and defend depositions; propound and respond to discovery.
• Draft motions and other court filings; work independently or in a team.
