Springborn Staffing is assisting a well-established law firm in Kennebunk, Maine, seeking a detail-oriented Family Legal Assistant to support a busy Family Law practice. The role is full-time permanent with occasional travel to Brunswick.

You will manage matters in case management and CRM systems, maintain files, prepare legal documents, coordinate calendars, and communicate with clients, courts, and colleagues. Compensation is $23–$26 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional office environment.
• Legal office experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with calendar management, email management, and document preparation.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing client matters in case management and CRM systems.
• Maintaining accurate electronic and physical files.
• Processing and organizing court documents, scheduling notices, calendars, and client records.
• Communicating with courts, agencies, vendors, clients, and prospective clients via phone and email.
• Preparing, proofreading, and formatting legal documents and correspondence using templates and attorney direction.
• Scheduling meetings and appointments and managing attorney calendars.
• Assisting with client communications, follow-up, billing, and timekeeping procedures.
