Invictus Law in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a full‑time Family Law Attorney to manage a diverse caseload from intake through resolution. You will handle divorce, custody, support, and related matters with professionalism and empathy.

Ideal candidates have Virginia bar admission and at least 3 years of family law experience, strong advocacy, and the ability to advise clients, draft pleadings, and appear in court hearings. On‑site teamwork and ongoing professional development are supported.

• Strong foundation in Law and demonstrable experience handling Family Law matters, including divorce, custody, and support.
• Active license to practice law in Virginia, in good standing with the state bar.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop sound, strategic case plans and recommendations.
• Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions, including pre-trial, temporary, and post-judgment motions.
• Experience preparing for and conducting depositions, hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including legal research, drafting, and courtroom presentation.
• Strong client communication skills, with the ability to manage expectations and handle sensitive family matters with discretion and empathy.
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to professional ethics, teamwork, and ongoing professional development in family law practice.
• Other language proficiency is a plus

Responsabilidades

Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Family Law Attorney role based in Virginia Beach, VA. The attorney will manage a caseload involving divorce, custody, support, protective orders, and other family law matters from intake through resolution. Daily responsibilities include conducting client consultations, developing case strategies, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing and responding to discovery, and representing clients in negotiations, mediations, depositions, and court hearings. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues and support staff, maintaining accurate case files, keeping clients informed on case progress, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, ethical rules, and firm policies. The attorney is expected to contribute to the firm’s reputation through professional conduct, effective advocacy, and consistent, high‑quality legal work.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law and demonstrable experience handling Family Law matters, including divorce, custody, and support. 3 years of experience preferred.
• Active license to practice law in Virginia, in good standing with the state bar.
• Ability to analyze complex Legal Issues and develop sound, strategic case plans and recommendations.
• Proficiency in drafting and arguing Motions, including pre‑trial, temporary, and post‑judgment motions.
• Experience preparing for and conducting Depositions, as well as participating in hearings, trials, and mediations.

• The compensation range for the position is $100,000 – $160,000 annually. Base salary plus incentives and bonus compensation. Clear path to six‑figure total comp and base increases with tenure and results.
