Jobot is seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney in Texas to join a reputable firm serving Austin and beyond. The role offers a permanent, hybrid position with a salary range of $130,000 to $200,000 per year.

The attorney will handle divorce, custody, spousal support, and property matters within a team of skilled professionals. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of family law experience, a JD, and an active Texas license.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in family law with a strong background in litigation.
• A current license to practice law in the state.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex cases and develop effective strategies.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in legal research software and case management systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to client service and a passion for family law.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations related to family law matters including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.
• Draft and review various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and other correspondence.
• Conduct thorough case investigations to discover all relevant facts and data.
• Develop strong strategies and arguments for presentation in court.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding their legal rights, obligations, and options.
• Negotiate settlements in a timely and advantageous manner.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all client and court interactions.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and changes in family law and judicial decisions.
• Participate in business development activities such as networking and relationship building to attract and retain clients.
