Job summary

Orion Placement in Ontario, CA is seeking an experienced family law attorney to manage a high-stakes caseload with increasing autonomy in a hybrid environment.

You will represent clients in RFOs, DVROs, MSCs, and trials, draft pleadings, negotiate with opposing counsel, and coordinate with paralegals. Travel to Southern California courts as needed.

Active CA Bar and 3+ years family law required; competitive salary and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license.
• 3+ years of family law experience.
• Strong courtroom, negotiation, legal research, and writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload with limited supervision.
• Comfortable traveling to court appearances throughout Southern California.
• Proficiency with a paperless, multi-monitor technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and advance an assigned family law caseload with increasing autonomy.
• Represent clients in RFOs, DVROs, MSCs, trials, and other family law proceedings.
• Draft motions, declarations, settlement documents, trial pleadings, and other legal pleadings.
• Negotiate directly with opposing counsel for favorable outcomes.
• Develop discovery and document strategies with paralegals and case managers.
• Direct support staff on case preparation to focus on substantive work.
• Analyze complex family law issues including divorce, custody, and property matters.
• Travel to hearings across the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, and Orange County as needed.
• Communicate clearly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and the team.
• Work in a paperless, technology-driven environment.

Note: An active California Bar license and at least 3 years of directly relevant family law experience are required. Candidates with stronger family law litigation experience are especially encouraged to apply.

Qualifications
