Qualifications

• Possession of a valid North Carolina law license.
• Commitment to serving children and families.
• Ability to communicate effectively under emotion and stress.
• Demonstrated interest in all phases of family law (hearings, mediations, trials).
• Desire to develop courtroom litigation skills.
• Commitment to helping families achieve stability for children.
• Ability to manage independent cases and assist senior attorneys.
• Meet timekeeping, client communication, document production, and case management standards.
• Professional, friendly demeanor supports a positive workplace culture.
• Ability to handle cases across Johnston, Wake, and Harnett Counties.
• Notary Public in NC or ability to obtain promptly.
• Three professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by being responsive, compassionate, and proactive to ensure a positive experience for clients.
• Assist clients in evaluating needs, exploring legal options, and developing strategies aligned with their objectives.
• Prepare legal documents under supervision, including pleadings, motions, agreements, contracts, and orders, in collaboration with the legal team.
• Demonstrate empathy and understanding toward clients in challenging situations.
• Balance empathy with professional distance and distinguish legal issues from emotional matters.
• Collaborate with team to achieve individual, client, and firm goals.
• Adhere to organizational procedures and deadlines for timely, accurate task completion.
