Job summary

OptumCare is partnering with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic to recruit a Family or Internal Medicine physician for our Houston multi-specialty network. You will provide outpatient care to adults, with an 8am–5pm schedule, and collaborate across subspecialties using the EPIC system.

Texas license, board certification/eligibility, and a DEA license are required. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered within a national health care framework.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an accredited program (MD or DO).
• Texas license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine.
• DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Examine adult patients 18+ to provide care, diagnosis, treatment and recovery planning.
• Order tests, perform follow-up visits and refer to specialists as needed.
• Access to sub-specialists, imaging, labs, and patient education within Kelsey-Seybold.
• Interpret basic tests and imaging for care planning; use EPIC EMR for documentation.
• See patients in the office Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm; participate in on-call groups.

Education

Medical Degree (MD, DO)

Licensed to practice in Texas

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine

DEA license or ability to obtain
