Job summary

We are seeking a Part-time House Manager / Family Assistant to support a busy, loving household in Topeka, KS. The role involves meal support, household organization, laundry, errands, vendor coordination, vehicle upkeep, and occasional childcare, with a flexible afternoon schedule from 3:00–5:00 PM, 10–15 hours weekly.

Ideal candidates are friendly, proactive, reliable, and comfortable around young children, including a baby.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license required for errands and local tasks; mileage reimbursement provided.
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccines up to date.
• CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to obtain certification prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Meal support including managing meal subscriptions and preparing kid-friendly meals.
• Household organization and maintenance: daily resets, prep for cleaning crew, oversee organizational projects.
• Laundry: wash, dry, fold, iron/steam, rotate bedding and towels.
• Inventory and errands: manage supplies, deliveries, package intake, recycling/drop-offs, shopping.
• Vendor & property oversight: coordinate cleaners, contractors, quotes, and maintain patio and outdoor spaces.
• Vehicle maintenance: fuel, clean, and schedule services.
• Family support: occasional babysitting and school pickup/drop-offs as needed.
• Administrative & personal assistant tasks: manage shared calendar, travel logistics, appointments.
