Job summary

Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative is seeking a Family Engagement Coordinator to lead and supervise Family Engagement Specialists in Early Head Start. You will strengthen family partnerships, coordinate services, and promote family well-being and parent leadership.

You will collaborate with education, health, enrollment, and leadership teams, supervise staff, and drive continuous improvement through training and supportive supervision while maintaining compliance with Head Start standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public administration, or related field preferred.
• NHSA Family Service Certification within one year for employees without a college degree.
• Four or more years of experience providing social work or related services to families and children.
• Prior management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure family engagement services align with Head Start standards and program policies.
• Provide supervision, coaching, and support to Family Engagement Specialists.
• Develop authentic family partnerships and coordinate services for families in Early Head Start.
• Collaborate with education, health, enrollment, and leadership teams to deliver comprehensive services.
• Monitor documentation, case notes, and workload; mentor staff and support professional development.
