Job summary

Generation Hope is seeking a compassionate Parent Educator to support student parents and families through the Parents as Teachers framework. You will conduct monthly family visits, provide parent education, and connect families with community resources to promote academic success and holistic wellbeing.

The role emphasizes equity, trauma-informed practice, and collaboration with program teams, requiring strong organizational skills and weekend flexibility when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Social Work, Education, Child Development, Psychology, Family Studies, or a closely related field.
• Master's degree preferred (MSW, MEd, or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Conduct a minimum of one in-family visit per scholar family per month using the PAT framework.
• Deliver structured parent education and coaching sessions.
• Document visits, referrals, and progress in the data system within 48 hours.
• Coordinate referrals to internal and external services and follow up.
