Easter Seals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Assistant in Brattleboro, VT. The role focuses on transporting children and parents to services and providing supported contact to facilitate safe, productive time together in both office and community settings.

An ideal candidate communicates well, documents work, and thrives in a team. Training and supervision are provided; full-time hours are 40 per week, with scheduling Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required (minimum age 18).
• An Associate’s Degree and experience in Human Services is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• Own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets coverage limits.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and parents to needed services and provide supported contact within office and community settings.
• Support safe and productive time with family members, including in DCF custody contexts.
• Document work completed and maintain clear records of interactions and progress.
• Collaborate effectively with team; training and supervision are provided.

As a Family Engagement Assistant, responsibilities include transporting children and parents to needed services as well as providing supported contact for children and parents within office and community settings, to allow separated families to have safe and productive time with each other. In addition, Family Engagement Assistants may call family members when youth come into DCF custody, to assist in the development of a support network for those youth and their families. While we work closely with Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division, we have our own separate and comfortable offices!An ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills (phone and in-person), be able to document work completed and be a strong team player. Training and supervision are provided.**Qualifications:*** This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. (Minimum age of 18 years old.)
