Job summary

Acelero Learning is seeking a Family Advocate to engage Head Start families and partner with us on children’s healthy development and school readiness. The role emphasizes family engagement, enrollment support, health information collection, and community partnerships within the Head Start framework.

You will work to foster belonging and shared community among families, supporting vulnerable groups and children with special needs, while traveling locally as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in social work or related field is preferred.
• Experience assisting parents of young children to advocate for families is required; community involvement is a plus.
• Travel is required locally or up to 10% for work-related meetings and functions; reliable transportation is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Engages families in in-home and group experiences to promote school readiness.
• Manages ERSEA, record keeping, monitoring, planning, and safety of learning environment.
• Participates in outreach, recruitment, and attendance follow-up to engage families.
• Assists families with completing applications and collecting documents for enrollment.
• Supports health-related information collection and documentation.
• Maintains enrollment levels and analyzes data to inform planning.
• Sets attendance goals for families with attendance below 80%.
• Performs data entry for responsibilities; maintains relationships with community partners.
• Attends meetings, events, and training as required.
