Job summary

Easterseals Southern California is seeking a Family Support Worker to coordinate and deliver Head Start and Early Head Start services for families. You will recruit eligible families, manage enrollment, and connect families with community resources to strengthen family relationships.

You will maintain caseloads, collaborate with staff, and mentor colleagues on eligibility, documentation, and program standards, including Title 22 and Head Start performance standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in social services or related field.
• Must obtain credential/certification in relevant field within 18 months.
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Food handler’s certificate required.
• Complete California Child Abuse Reporter Training and Pesticide Safety Training before starting.

Responsibilities

• Recruit eligible families and complete intake/enrollment.
• Maintain caseload and complete required paperwork per regulations.
• Develop Family Partnership Agreements and set goals with families.
• Mentor staff on eligibility, enrollment, and Head Start standards.
• Coordinate referrals to community resources and parent education.
• Assist management with parent meetings and program duties.
