Job summary

Wyandot Behavioral Health Network is seeking a dedicated Parent Peer Support Specialist to assist parents and guardians of Medicaid-eligible children. Use lived experience to empower families, connect with resources, and support family-centered goals in home and community settings.

You will work closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to promote stability, access to services, and positive outcomes for children while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Personal experience raising a child with emotional or behavioral health challenges.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Current Kansas driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with parents to identify strengths and goals.
• Help families navigate systems and access benefits.
• Connect families with community resources and supports.
• Participate in family team meetings and treatment planning.
• Coordinate home visits and care appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality and regular communication with the treatment team.
• Complete required peer-support training.
