MAHUBE-OTWA is actively recruiting a Family Coach to support Becker and Mahnomen Counties' clients. We are seeking passionate individuals to help us strengthen our communities by supporting, empowering, and advocating for others.

Partner with program staff and community resources to provide a continuum of services to children and families living in poverty from culturally diverse backgrounds offering them the opportunity to reach self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Human Services or related field; one year working with families preferred.
• Knowledge of family systems and trauma-informed practices.
• Familiar with community resources to support education, employment, health and finances.
• Professionalism with staff, clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships using a person-centered approach.
• Understanding of adverse childhood experiences and developmental impacts.
• Ability to assess needs, resolve problems, and manage crises.
• Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable; strong commitment.
• Effective communication, both oral and written.
• Willingness to conduct home visits and protect confidentiality.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass Background Study.

Responsibilities

• Provide a continuum of services to children and families in poverty.
• Identify strengths and barriers; formulate action plans and coordinate services.
• Connect clients with community resources to meet goals.
• Travel within the service area to deliver support as needed.
