Responsibilities

• Provide support and education to families in Utah referred to Family 7 Foundations.
• Recognize, respond, and adapt to the educational needs of the family.
• Report back successes and struggles to the DHHS case workers after each session.
• Share best practices and teaching methods; continually develop and improve curriculum.
• Participate in data gathering and interpretation for a data-driven program and quality improvement.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents, children and case workers.
• Monitor progress of students.
• Complete required training and scheduled ongoing training.
• Remain compliant with state and federal regulations (HIPAA).
• Ensure students meet academic goals and maintain attendance and travel records.
• Follow the mission of Family 7 Foundations.

Family 7 Foundations is a contracted provider for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). We are currently hiring Family Education Coordinators across the state. Must be located in or near Saint George, Utah.

The Family Education Coordinator (FEC) serves families that are at risk of losing their children to the foster care system. The primary mission of this position is to help parents gain needed skills in parenting, self-awareness, home environment, co-parenting, protecting children, and much more.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree: Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Email
• Pass a background check through DHHS
• Reliable transportation
• Reliable computer

The Family Education Coordinator (FEC) serves in the homes of the families and teaches 25 adaptive sessions pertaining to: Parenting skills, home environment, safety in the home, and much more. Reports are sent to the DHHS caseworkers weekly.
