Job summary

Mexican American Opportunity Foundation seeks a Home Visitor I/II to support families in the Head Start Home-Based program. The role involves in-home visits, family coaching, and curriculum implementation to promote children's development and parental involvement.

You will manage a caseload, conduct observations, and collaborate with supervisors and staff. Requires CA permits, bilingual skills, and willingness to travel within designated service area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or closely related field with valid CA Teacher Permit.
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development with CA Associate Teacher Permit.
• Minimum 24 semester units in ECE/Child Development.
• Two years of paid experience with infants to preschool in an ECE setting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide home visits to support child development and parental engagement.
• Conduct weekly home visits and two group socialization experiences monthly.
• Develop lesson plans and observe/assess children and families.
• Maintain confidential child and family records and attend meetings.
• Communicate with families in preferred language and provide program coverage as needed.
