University of Kentucky Extension invites applications for an Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences in Spencer County. The agent will develop, implement, and evaluate a work plan addressing local needs to improve family well-being, educate on healthy choices, and empower leaders across the county.

Responsibilities include delivering educational programs on nutrition, finances, and healthy homes, visiting sites countywide, and collaborating with community partners.

Formación

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with groups and individuals and via mass media.
• Ability to use a computer for program delivery and management.
• Ability to visit clientele at sites throughout the county.
• Ability to plan and teach educational programs.
• Demonstrated leadership and serve as a positive role model.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of work based on local needs.
• Plan and implement educational programs on healthy living, aging, finances, homes and communities.
• Develop expertise in family and consumer sciences areas and serve as a resource.
• Implement leadership programs such as Kentucky Extension Homemakers.
• Disseminate practical information on Agriculture, FCS, 4-H and community development.
